Karel Novak is an incredibly naive Czech immigrant that is taken under the wing of streetwise New york city chorus girl Sylvia. With the help of adorable cop-on-the-beat Murphy, Sylvia conceals Karel from the immigration authorities and inevitably falls in love with him.
