An old, ill jazzman coaxes an evocative scream from his tenor sax inside the Blue Note nightclub in Paris one night in 1959. A young Parisian tries to hear the notes outside, unable to afford a drink of wine. They will soon create a friendship that will unleash a final burst of inspiration.
