Hannah, a company soldier, and the scientists Gavin and Dimitri are working on an algae project aboard the Rubikon space station, which is designed to provide humanity with oxygen and food indefinitely. But then the earth vanishes beneath them in a brown, toxic fog, and all contact is lost - are they the last survivors of humanity? Should they start the safe station, risk their lives on the return flight?
