Using a sketch artist for the police, a witness is able to recall who she saw fleeing the scene of a murder and discovers that the person she saw is the murderer's wife. He is unable to accept that she was the perpetrator, so he redraws the photographs so that they do not appear to be of her, and he launches his own inquiry into the murder.
