Sunny is the singer of a band aiming to break into East Berlin's music scene. They play often in tiny towns, but Sunny is disconnected from the audience and her life. In a relationship with amateur saxophonist and philosopher Ralph, she discovers his fascination with death and unfaithfulness. She is fired from the band after a fight with a band member who harasses her and yelling at a show host. Abandoned, she fights to regain control.
