After she's caught red-handed with her mother's 22, australian teenager Heidi is left with very little choice but to leave home. With choices, Heidi ends up in Jindabyne. Up on fulfilling with Joe at a pub, she pursues a connection with him and attempts to find something resembling a normal home life. Strides that are small are made by heidi by finding a place to stay and obtaining a job, but her association with Joe must overcome over its share of barriers.
