Horror actor Rose Hepburn arrives to her vacant hotel. Forced to utilize the antiquated freight elevator, it stops on the twelfth story, trapping her with a mysterious stranger. As a storm approaches, Rose realizes that the mystery man is Daniel Reed, her current movie's camera operator, who seems enamored with her. Some terrible realities and deeds unravel as the elevator hovers precariously high, ready to fall.
