If one of his patients is found killed, psychiatrist Dr. Sam Rice is visited with the investigating officer but neglects to offer up any information. The individual's mistress, Brooke Reynolds, whom he falls for being a murder suspect that was possible then visited him. Rice decides to aim solving the case by himself and soon discovers that somebody is attempting to kill him as the police pressure intensifies.
