Cookie and her brother flee the region and come in New York to escape their loveless mother. Cookie meets Duke the fancy man at the train station. He seduces her and soon has her working as a prostitute as a result of his attractiveness. His aggression toward her coworkers, on the other hand, makes her disgusted.
