Ahmad ibn Fadlan finds himself. The outsider that is cultured grows to honor the warriors while ibn Fadlan offends. Throughout their travels ibn Fadlan and the Vikings receive word of an evil presence closing in, plus they must fight the formidable and frightening force, which had been once believed to exist only in legend.
