Throughout a regular patrol, a reporter is given permission to speak with a solidified cold-war warrior and captain of the American destroyer USS Bedford. The reporter gets more than he planned on when the Bedford uncovers a Soviet sub and the captain begins a relentless pursuit, pressing his team to damaging factor.
