The film is set in the Utah community of Santa Ynez, which is being contested by a mysterious black coupe which appears out of nowhere and begins running down people. After the car reaches off town's Sheriff (John Marley), it will become the task of Captain Wade Parent (James Brolin) to block the murderous driver.
