After his son expires from the negligience of health professionals in a hospital, Harry Fertig (Kinglsey) takes things into his own hands and kills the negligent doctors accountable for Slick lawyer Roy Bleakie (Baldwin), looking just to win a case and perhaps not caring of the things involved, is delegated Fertig's case. The instance causes Bleakie to question his morals by protecting an honorable man.
