Harmon Cobb, a small-town lawyer, defends a Nazi prisoner of war who is accused of murdering a fellow prisoner of war. While in "Camp Bremen" in the fictitious town of Bremen, Colorado, Cobb must deal with the challenges of defending the devil. The film is set during World War II, and Cobb must deal with the difficulties of defending the devil.
