A savings-and-loan bank is burglarized; later on, a police wiretap determines cashier Leon Poole as inside man. In recording him, investigative Sam Wagner inadvertently eliminates Poole's young other half, and at his test Poole vouches revenge against Wagner. Poole starts his plans to repay when he leaves his captors.
