Eduardo Scarpetta, the beloved actor and playwright from Naples and the father of Eduardo De Filippo, spent his entire life in the theater and found fame with classic pieces like "Miseria e nobiltà." All of his efforts, meanwhile, seem to have been in vain in 1904 when he becomes embroiled in a severe judicial dispute that would restrict his right to free speech.
