The LAPD fires an elite cadre of vice cops for being overzealous in their drug battle. Their leaders are clearly implicated in the narcotics network. Four blacklisted cops (three when one is killed) get together to fight the drug ring undercover. They get money for guns by robbing tiny drug traffickers. Then they attack the kingpin armed (Boyd).
