Lawyer David Burton agrees to defend a group of aborigines. He supposes the victim was targeted for violating a taboo, but the defendants refuse any association that is tribal. Burton, affected with dreams of water, slowly realizes threat may result from his involvement with the aborigines and their prophecies.
