The realm of logic is threatening the kingdom of magic, therefore the wizard, Carolinus decides to shield it to several time. Ommadon, the wicked red wizard, stands in his own manner. Carolinus subsequently requires a quest that is always to be led by a man called Peter Dickinson, who is the first man of the realms of magic and science. It is Peter's job to conquer Ommadon.
