The story of Kyoko (Etsuko Shihomi), a beautiful Christian nun who is the object of affection for two very different men: Haruhiko (Koichi Iwaki), a happy-go-lucky yakuza gangster who is the next-in-line to take over the ragtag "Tenryu Gumi" gang, and Kumashiro, a bumbling police detective (Akira Emoto). The Tenryu Gumi are a group of misfits and other troublemakers who, despite their Christian beliefs, are relatively peaceful. Their bitter opponents are the more traditional "Kuroiwa Gumi," a far more sadistic and violent group led by godfather Kuroiwa (Hideo Murota).
