A new British girl born and reared in India loses her parents. She is returned to live at her uncle's castle. Her uncle is very on account of the increasing loss of his wife. Neglected again, she begins exploring the property and finds a garden that failed and has been locked. Aided by a few of the servants' boys, she begins rebuilding the lawn, and finally finds some other secrets of the manor.
