In ancient 1960s London, barrister Melville Farr is on the trail to success. Farr's career and private life are nearly idyllic with his practice winning cases and also a marriage to his spouse. When blackmailers connect Farr to a gay person, everything Farr has worked for is threatened. As it happens, Farr is really just a gay -- that will be problematic, thanks to Britain's anti-sodomy laws. But instead of committing, Farr makes the decision to fight.
