Once he obtains the funds to purchase an engine, Lucky Jackson comes in town with his car literally in tow, eager to compete in the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix. He readily obtains the funds, but he misplaces them when the attractive swimming pool manager diverts his attention away from the task at hand. It appears like he will lose both the race and the girl, problems that are exacerbated by rivalry with Elmo Mancini, a fellow racer and womanizer.
