Professor Norman Reed begins to sense the contrast between his world of rational science and hers of weird dance and bizarre voodoo rituals after bringing his beautiful new wife Paula from the isolated island where she was raised to America. Norman's snobbish friends also detect Paula's odd behavior, and their interfering talk and suspicious plotting soon force the unfortunate woman to use her magic to save herself and her husband — and possibly to kill! Or is it simply the influence of suggestion?
