A middle-aged but still attractive decadent countess (Françoise Prévost) compels her young and frightened daughter (Agostina Belli) to marry a wealthy butcher. The couple's sexual relationship, however, is strained because the girl has her own set of inhibitions. As a result, she flees her home and seeks asylum with her sister. Her spouse seeks solace in his mother-in-arms law's while she is away.
