The Earnshaws have been Yorkshire farmers during the early 19th Century. 1 afternoon, Mr. Earnshaw yields from a trip to the city, bringing with him a ragged little boy named Heathcliff. Earnshaw's son resents the youngster, but Heathcliff becomes company and soul mate into Hindley's sister. After her parents die, Cathy and Heathcliff grow up wild and free and they are happy -- until Cathy meets Edgar Linton, some neighbor's son.
