A ronin, or samurai without master, enters a village in Japan where two businessmen are fighting for control of their gambling transaction. Considering the name Sanjuro Kuwabatake, the ronin frees both retailer Tazaemon and interest retailer Tokuemon to engage as your own bodyguard, then puts into motion a gang war between both ambitious and unscrupulous men.
