Subsequent to the finish of the Battle City Tournament an ancient evil has been awakened. Anubis, who was defeated centuries ago by Yugi's mysterious alter ego -- the early Pharaoh -- has returned to get revenge. Anubis is determined to destroy Yugi and take on the world.
